Note: these troubleshooting suggestions DO
NOT apply to users who are using an EVALUATION copy of Reseller Advantage that
was downloaded from our website. These only apply to users who are using
Reseller Advantage with their own DBMS.
Problems Starting Up Reseller
Advantage
The most common questions and problems occur
when you try to run Reseller Advantage for the first time after installing it.
Don't get frustrated yet, there is probably a very simple reason.
- If you are getting a "statement error" or an
"ODBC connection error" when you click the ENTER button, it means you are not
getting connected to the database.
- Have you created the 'sfaservr' database device on
your DBMS? More Info
- Have you created your ODBC DSN? More Info
- Have you created your database tables? More Info
- Have you created a Super User? More Info
- Are you logging into Reseller Advantage with the
correct UserId and Password? More
Info
- If you are getting a "Protection Violation",
"Run-Time Error", or "Active-X Component can't create object" you may have a
system problem.
- Are you running out of disk space or memory?
- If not you may need technical support.
