Installation Notes



System Requirements

	Minimum

		486 DX2 66 

		16 Meg Memory

		Windows 95 or NT

		30 Meg free disk space

	

	Recommended

		Pentium 166 or Higher

		32 Meg Memory

		Windows 95 or NT

		30 Meg free disk space



Installation

        Download and run Setup.exe and follow the installation instructions.

	To upgrade the evaluation system to the latest version download the patch file,

	run it and follow the installation instructions. The Logon ID and Password is 

	GUEST and GUEST.



	NT Workstation Installation Issues

		You may receive an error on file MSVCRT.DLL or other NT system files.

		Ignore these errors and the installation will continue. 

		After the install is complete you will need to copy file SFAUSER.PRO 

		to the directory specified in your HOMEDRIVE, HOMEDIRECTORY environment

		variables. This is usually c:\USERS\DEFAULT.



Fonts

	The install updates the MS Sans Serif Font to one that contains a 6 point which

	id used by Reseller ADVantage. This changes the ICON and Pallet display point 

	size to 6 point. To change these back to 8 point after the install completes

	right click on the desktop and select properties. From the appearance page 

	under item select icon. The font drop down fills in with MS Sans Serif with 

	the size being 6. Change the size to 8 and then select Palette Title from the

	item drop down. The font drop down fills in with MS Sans Serif with 

	the size being 6. Change the size to 8 and select OK.



Products

	The evaluation copy is populated with a small subset of products. 

	The full application allows for loading of products from Ingram Micro, 

	Tech Data, Microage and Mericel. 



Online Pricing and Availability

	This has been disabled in the evaluation copy. 



Know Problems

	The import contact works with ACT 3.0 and above databases.



	If any alarms are active when reseller advantage starts

	the alarms window may beep and flash. Minimize the Reseller

	Advantage workbench and then process your alarms.
